For Brillux Industrial Coatings, it has always been important to stand alongside customers as partners and offer exceptional service. Evidence of this can be seen in the plant in Unna, which has recently expanded to include a highly modern coil coating mixing plant – with the even greater quality standards, production speeds and flexibility that this brings about.
“With our new coil coating mixing plant, we are set up for the future and able to react quickly and flexibly to customer needs, particularly when it comes to intense color shades and varying batch sizes”, announced Michael Piel, Technical Key Account Manager for Coil Coating at Brillux Industrial Coatings.
This modern technology allows consistent color shades to be produced with more stability than earlier production methods, which is particularly useful for subsequent orders.

The new mixing plant facilitates shorter delivery times and additional capacities.
The mixing concept
“The new mixing plant can be run fully automatically, semi automatically, manually or any combination of these depending on the type of order”, explains Karsten Sperl, Head of Production for Wet Coatings/Coil Coatings at Brillux Industrial Coatings. “This allows optimal flexibility, specific to the respective order and thus accelerates production – no least by the use of high quality semi-processed products produced in the Unna plant.
Shorter delivery times also arise from the fact that the mixing plant is an additional plant rather than the replacement of other production capacity. Extra production volume can be created for coil customers every year from this plant. “We are very excited to be able to respond even better to our customers’ needs through this investment”, said Piel.
