Aesthetics plays a major role in examination and treatment chairs, but also in hospital furniture such as functional carts. SCHMITZ medical products therefore receive regular nominations and awards at leading design competitions. “Pleasant shapes and inspiring colors of the furniture are intended to relieve patients’ fear of visiting the doctor,” explains Iven Greßner. “At the same time, our wide range of color shades offers medical practice and hospital managers the opportunity to optimally match their furniture to their needs (e.g. different colors for the different hospital wards) and to the individual furnishing style of individual rooms.” With “A Sense for Colour” SCHMITZ medical designed a unique selection of color tones. It comprises a total of 18 RAL design shades – from five different shades from the still used gray-white spectrum to 13 vibrant colors and soft pastel shades. The color palette was compiled in color studies, in which findings from color psychology and from practical users were incorporated. The “A Sense for Colour” tones can be freely configured for panels, drawer handles and sliding handles of functional trolleys, the columns and footrests of examination and treatment chairs or the frames of the loungers.
