Valuable findings for implementation practice Brillux Industrial Coatings forum "System partners for ..more"

A mixture of theory, practice, discussion and constructive exchange of experiences: over two days, this year’s Brillux Industrial Coatings forum took a closer look into the challenges, limits and options for the use of various coating systems for complex building components. Around 100 participants received insights into the creation and processing of industrial coatings during the sold-out event on April 11-12, 2019 and gained valuable findings for the implementation practice.

Andreas Pönisch, Head of Sales for Brillux Industrial Coatings, welcomed the participants to the Brillux Industrial Coatings forum “System partners for ..more”. “We develop, produce and sell powder and wet coatings, as well as coil coatings, ranging from standard products to customized coating solutions for industrial surface technology,” says Andreas Pönisch.

What is the effect of color? Werner Rudolf Cramer, a specialist author and freelance consultant, began the theoretical portion with a lively presentation on the topic of the “Color Effect”. Dr. Reiner Sälker, R&D Manager at Brillux Industrial Coatings, addressed the question of how different parameters of aging affect coating quality.

He concluded that for high-quality, durable coatings, the paint systems must be carefully matched in terms of color, gloss and metamerism index. After a tour of the Brillux plant in Münster, William J. Dickhut, Chief Operating Officer Carl Geringhoff GmbH & Co. KG, gave presented comprehensive insights into the “Quality objectives in the construction of agricultural machinery”.

Carsten Cramer is Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA, one of the largest soccer clubs in the world. The Münster native shares the conviction with Brillux that a company needs customers who become fans. "The brand identity is the DNA of Borussia Dortmund. We speak to people’s hearts. This emotional connection is crucial,” says Carsten Cramer.

Day 2 – Immersion in practice

On the second day, participants visited Carl Geringhoff GmbH & Co. KG in Ahlen for a tour of the company to gain a deeper understanding of the “Quality objectives in the construction of agricultural machinery.” One of the event’s highlights was the tour of Brillux Industrial Coatings in Unna, where the participants were able to witness the production of industrial coatings live.
